    GOROGA SENTLE
    Your Daunara Family

  • Our lovely camp is in the heart of The Delta just a quick helicopter flip from Maun, a pioneering safari town in the north of Botswana on the edge of the Thamalakane River. The Camp is perched on the edge of a water body, perfectly situated for days full of adventure and activity.

Our 5-bedroom camp is perfect for friends and family travelling together. Our food is clean and uncomplicated with distinct flavours that celebrate the fresh produce we can get from our community garden.

At Daunara your days are tailor-made, your stay is an adventure in nature with walking, fishing, game drives, community visits, mokoros and so much more. All in your own time at your own pace, with our guides who take you to the heart of the Delta experience.

We are committed to making a difference through Conservation, Community, Culture, and Commerce. Our vision is aligned with the four principles of the Long Run,  a membership community of nature-based tourism businesses, of which we are a member, committed to driving holistic sustainability.

We hope that you leave feeling like you made a new family, having deeply connected with Botswana, its people, and its wildlife.

“Experiential luxury in the true sense of the word is felt through a human connection.”

  • The camp hosts a maximum of 12 guests and children (all ages are welcome), and can only be booked on an exclusive use basis.

    • Five luxury tented suites. Three of the suites are stand-alone and two of the suites are connected with a shared sitting room.

    • One well-appointed pilot/guide tent.

  • Situated in the Southern Okavango on one-hundred and twenty-five thousand hectares of pristine wilderness.

  • Daunara Safari Camp is open all year round.

  • Daunara Safari camp is a year-round destination in the Okavango Delta, where seasons revolve around water. From April to October, clear skies and minimal rain define the winter months, coinciding with the arrival of floodwaters from Angola. Days are pleasantly warm, ideal for mokoro and motorboat excursions, while nights are cool.

  • Your journey to Daunara likely includes a helicopter ride with limited luggage space. Opt for a sturdy, flexible kitbag/hold-all, as only 20kg per passenger is allowed. Check our FAQs for luggage allowances.

For clothing, choose neutral-coloured cotton attire to stay cool in the African heat. Long trousers and sturdy walking shoes are advised for bush walks, while waterproof rafting sandals/aqua shoes are perfect for mokoro trips. Layering is key for comfort during winter days, which start chilly, warm up, and cool down by sunset.

Enjoy a daily laundry service included in our fully inclusive rate.

Please avoid wearing camouflage clothing, and refrain from bringing fresh produce to the Lodge, except for active army personnel.

We kindly ask that you do not set the air conditioner lower than 22 degrees as this causes it to freeze which in turn, causes condensation and dripping. When leaving your suite kindly turn it off as we run on solar power.
